Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Linux/Unix System Administrator to manage and secure our enterprise server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in system administration, performance optimization, automation, and troubleshooting mission-critical servers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, Solaris, AIX, etc.).

• Manage system updates, patches, and kernel upgrades.

• Monitor server performance, availability, and security.

• Automate system tasks using shell scripting and tools (Ansible preferred).

• Troubleshoot OS issues, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks.

• Configure storage, file systems, LVM, NFS, and virtualization.

• Implement backup strategies and system recovery processes.

• Maintain user accounts, groups, and security policies.

• Ensure compliance with IT and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–8 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.

• Strong experience in shell scripting (Bash, Korn, Perl).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus).

• Experience with automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).

• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus).

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
