Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BI Consultant with deep, hands-on expertise in Google Looker, LookML, and Looker Studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable semantic models, developing high-quality dashboards, and transforming complex business data into actionable insights. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent analytical ability, and a solid understanding of modern cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain LookML models, explores, and reusable components to support scalable and governed analytics.

  • Build interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Looker and Looker Studio tailored to business needs.

  • Create and optimize semantic data models ensuring consistency, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

  • Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to define requirements, translate analytical needs, and ensure high-quality data delivery.

  • Perform data validation, testing, and QA to ensure accuracy and performance of LookML and dashboards.

  • Optimize Looker queries, model structures, and BI performance across large datasets.

  • Manage version control workflows (Git) and follow structured development and deployment processes.

  • Work with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift to design and integrate data structures.

  • Troubleshoot issues across modeling, data pipelines, and visualization layers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8 years of overall BI experience with proven hands-on expertise in Google Looker, LookML, and Looker Studio.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational data structures, and analytical data modeling.

  • Experience building scalable LookML semantic layers and maintaining governed datasets.

  • Solid understanding of cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred; Snowflake/Redshift is a plus).

  • Proficient with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dbt, BigQuery ML, or other modern data stack technologies.

  • Background in data engineering or advanced SQL optimizations.

  • Knowledge of data governance and enterprise BI architectures.
