Scrum Master
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery processes and support high-performing software development teams in the successful delivery of digital platform initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Agile best practices, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing team collaboration, and removing impediments that impact delivery performance.
The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Development Teams to ensure effective implementation of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices across all project workstreams in accordance with SOW 4.1–4.8.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Agile coaching capabilities, excellent facilitation skills, and a proven track record of supporting the delivery of large-scale digital platforms or enterprise technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Coaching
- Facilitate Agile and Scrum processes across development teams.
- Promote Agile values, principles, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile methodologies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Support Agile maturity and capability development across project teams.
Scrum Ceremonies & Sprint Management
- Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Coordinate backlog refinement and grooming sessions with Product Owners and development teams.
- Ensure sprint goals and objectives are clearly defined and understood.
- Monitor sprint progress and support teams in achieving sprint commitments.
- Track team velocity, sprint performance, and Agile delivery metrics.
Team Coordination & Collaboration
- Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams including developers, testers, architects, UX teams, and stakeholders.
- Encourage effective communication and teamwork across project workstreams.
- Support alignment between business priorities and technical delivery activities.
- Assist teams in maintaining focus on project objectives and delivery commitments.
- Foster a self-organizing and high-performing team environment.
Impediment & Risk Management
- Identify, track, and remove impediments affecting team productivity and delivery.
- Escalate risks, dependencies, and issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to resolve challenges impacting project timelines.
- Support proactive risk identification and mitigation activities.
- Ensure smooth workflow and efficient delivery processes.
Delivery Governance & Reporting
- Monitor Agile delivery performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain Agile artifacts, sprint reports, and team performance metrics.
- Support release planning and delivery coordination activities.
- Ensure adherence to established Agile governance practices.
- Contribute to project reporting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Delivery (SOW 4.1 – 4.8)
- Support successful delivery of platform modules and project milestones.
- Align Agile processes with project governance and delivery requirements.
- Facilitate collaboration between Product Owners and development teams to ensure timely delivery of prioritized features.
- Participate in planning, testing, deployment, and release management activities.
- Ensure Agile delivery practices contribute to achieving project objectives and quality standards.
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
