About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Business Intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires strong expertise in data modeling, ETL development, dashboarding, reporting, and data warehousing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade BI solutions, dashboards, and analytical reports.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data integration from multiple sources.
- Design and maintain data warehouses, data marts, and semantic models.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports to support business stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and governance across BI platforms.
- Monitor and optimize query performance, data pipelines, and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and leadership teams to identify reporting and analytics needs.
- Troubleshoot BI-related issues and provide ongoing support for reporting environments.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, security, and performance optimization.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–9 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Analytics.
- Strong experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Looker.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience designing and maintaining Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Dimensional Models (Star/Snowflake Schemas).
- Expertise in ETL/ELT tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise-scale BI implementations.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in Power BI, Tableau, Azure Data Engineering, AWS Analytics, or related technologies are preferred.
