Technical Lead – GenAI & Cloud Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – GenAI & Cloud Engineering to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of cloud-native and AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in GCP, BigQuery, Python, FastAPI, OpenAI API integration, and Generative AI technologies along with proven experience leading engineering teams and driving technical decisions.
This role requires a combination of technical leadership, solution architecture, backend engineering, cloud technologies, and AI integration experience to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Own the end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for complex projects.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
  • Drive technical decision-making, technology selection, and implementation approaches.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
Cloud Engineering (GCP & BigQuery)
  • Design and build cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Develop and optimize BigQuery solutions for analytics and data processing workloads.
  • Integrate cloud services with applications, APIs, and data platforms.
  • Implement cloud security, monitoring, access management, and deployment best practices.
  • Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
Python & API Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python.
  • Build and support RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
  • Integrate backend services with databases, cloud services, external platforms, and AI models.
  • Implement authentication, logging, testing, monitoring, and API documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
Generative AI & OpenAI Integration
  • Design and implement AI-powered applications and Generative AI solutions.
  • Integrate OpenAI APIs and other Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
  • Develop AI-driven workflows and automation capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate AI integration patterns.
  • Ensure AI solutions meet security, scalability, reliability, and performance requirements.
Software Delivery & Engineering Excellence
  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle from design to production support.
  • Support version control, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and release management practices.
  • Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.
Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals.

Must Have Skills
  • Mandatory Swedish language proficiency (spoken and written)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery
  • Strong hands-on Python development experience
  • Hands-on experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI
  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI API integration
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Generative AI solutions
  • Experience leading development teams and driving technical decisions
