Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Apigee Engineer to design, develop, and manage APIs using Google Apigee platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in API development, security implementation, and API lifecycle management to support scalable enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee Edge / Apigee X.
• Develop reusable API proxies and shared flows.
• Implement API security policies including OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
• Monitor API performance, usage, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot API issues and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with backend teams to expose services through APIs.
• Implement API lifecycle management, versioning, and governance.
• Ensure proper API documentation and adherence to best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for API deployment and management.

• API availability and uptime
• API response time and performance
• Number of successful API deployments
• Security compliance of APIs
• Reduction in integration issues
• API adoption by internal and external systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in API development.
• Hands-on experience with Google Apigee (Edge or X).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with API security (OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway policies).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, or Java is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
