About the Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Leadership & Development

• Lead the end-to-end development of ERP modules (e.g., finance, inventory, HR, procurement) and other custom enterprise software products.
• Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and release strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Own, prioritize, and refine the product backlog – write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs.
• Work hands-on with development teams during sprints: clarify requirements, review deliverables, and make trade-off decisions.

2. User Experience (UI/UX) Ownership

• Lead UI/UX design – create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes (using Figma, Sketch, or similar).
• Collaborate with or guide UI designers to ensure a cohesive, intuitive, and accessible user interface for complex ERP workflows.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions with internal stakeholders and pilot customers.
• Establish and maintain a design system / pattern library for consistency across custom products.

3. Go-to-Market & Customer Engagement

• Develop marketing and sales enablement materials – product slide decks, one-pagers, demo scripts, datasheets, and case studies.
• Present product capabilities to prospective customers in sales meetings, webinars, or conferences – articulate value propositions and handle technical/functional questions.
• Gather customer feedback from demos and pilot implementations to refine features and roadmap.
• Work with marketing and sales teams to create product launch plans and release announcements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in ERP or enterprise software development.
• Strong understanding of core ERP domains (finance, supply chain, manufacturing, HR, etc.) and common workflows.
• Experience building custom software products from scratch (not just configuring off-the-shelf ERP).

• Hands-on technical development experience in building software solutions (e.g., as a developer, technical lead, or full-stack engineer) – you understand code, APIs, databases, and deployment pipelines well enough to earn engineering trust.
• Experience with modern web and mobile technical frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js for web; React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android for mobile). You do not need to write production code daily, but you must be able to evaluate technical feasibility, assess framework trade-offs, and guide architectural decisions.

• Proficiency in wireframing/prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, or similar) – ability to lead UI/UX decisions.
• Working knowledge of responsive web design and mobile-first principles.

• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.) and backlog management best practices.

• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills – comfortable presenting to C-level executives and prospective customers.
• Ability to create polished, professional slide decks and marketing collateral (PowerPoint, Canva, or similar).
• Experience conducting product demos and handling Q&A from technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP platforms (Odoo, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or open-source ERPs).
• Knowledge of B2B SaaS product metrics and pricing models.
• Background in consulting or customer-facing product roles.
• Previous experience as a full-stack or mobile developer before moving into product ownership.
